Title: Short presentation on Climate Change in Economics Textbooks
Abstract: How do economists teach about climate change? I will illustrate the state of the art by looking at introductory econ textbooks from three continents. The results are in a website that could be a helpful resource for instructors: https://site.unibo.it/climate-econ-101/en

Title: Weather shocks and adaptation: what impacts on land-use change and deforestation?
Abstract: Understanding the links between extreme weather events and deforestation is essential to assess potential synergies and trade-offs between climate-related risks, adaptation strategies, and mitigation efforts through forest conservation. The aim of this project is to provide an overview of the state of academic knowledge on these relationships. Our work brings together two previously separate strands of the literature: one focusing on weather shocks and adaptation, and the other examining the links between weather shocks and deforestation. Our main findings highlight the wide diversity of adaptation practices within agricultural sectors in the Global South, their strong context dependence, and their heterogeneous impacts on land-use change and deforestation.
