The purpose of the series is to give students a bit of glimpse of what types of jobs and lives are awaiting.
This is meant for everyone: people in their first year of the PhD, people on the market right now, people who are doing a predoc and are curious and thinking about doing a PhD.
The first lecture in this series will be done by Matteo Greco.
Matteo recently finished a PhD in economics and found a position as a data scientist at Swiss International Airlines.
Matteo will talk about his personal experience looking for a job, but he will also give some tips and suggestions on how to look for a non-academic position.
Matteo told me that he's happy to stick around longer and get a beer with those who might be interested in knowing more.
