The Department of Economics of the University of Bologna will host the workshop Frontiers of Active Labour Market Policies on 19–20 November 2025.

 The workshop will gather researchers and policymakers to discuss recent advances in the evaluation and design of Active Labour Market Policies (ALMPs). Presentations will address topics such as the role of caseworkers, the effectiveness of training and retraining programmes, job-search behaviour and beliefs, and innovative approaches to policy design and targeting.

 The programme includes a keynote lecture by Bruno Crépon (ENSAE ParisTech) and a policy roundtable with representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, INPS, the Regional Labour Agency of Emilia-Romagna, and the OECD.

 The event is part of the PRIN 2022 PNRR project “The Career Progression Effects of Labour Market Policies,” within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

 Participation is open to everyone.
